SUNDAYS WITH SHEILA: Every Sunday from 1 - 3 p.m. Sheila holds a workshop that's very individualized-it's the place for rank beginners, (crocheters and knitters alike), a place for your first sweater, new projects, stuck projects, finishing. Come once or come every week. It's easy! But space is limited and you must sign up in advance. $25 + supplies
KNITTERS NIGHT OUT: Every Monday and Wednesday night from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Come knit and crochet with fellow Nantucketers--residents, vacationers, seasonal folks, all of us...it's a great way to meet others and to enjoy each other's projects. $10

INTRO TO KNITTED LACE: FEATHERY SCARF Th, June 17, 10:30 - 12:30 I wish I'd had this class when I started to knit lace--now one of my most favorite kinds of knitting. This easy lace scarf can also be made into a stole for cool summer nights. Come learn the secrets of knitting lace. Everyone says, "It's easy once you know how!" $25 + supplies
CROCHET MARKET BAG: Sat, June 19, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. An intermediate crochet project, this is the trendy look for the Stop and Shop. Use linen or strong twist cotton for a durable, washable, stylish market bag. Makes a great gift, too. $25 + supplies
OOPS!: Fri., June 25, 10:30 - 12:30 Learn how to correct mistakes so that you no longer have to RIP out your knitting. Learn what to look for, to be proactive, and to save time and eliminate stress in your knitting. $25 + some homework

LITTLE NANTUCKET FISHERMAN'S SWEATER: Fridays, July 16, 23, & 30; 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Invest in learning several good techniques in this little sweater (see photo) whose pattern has been updated and yarn selection has changed from pure cashmere to Cashmerino Aran. This class will provide you with skills for future projects: Reading charts, setting in patterns, working cables, 3-needle bind-off, picking up stitches for necklines and sleeves, providing for seam allowances when decreasing and for enough "give" for little hands and not-so-little heads. $75 + materials
CROCHETED SCALLOP SHELL SCARF: Mon., July 19 & 26, 2-4 p.m. Sheila has this new design nearly ready to see (as of this writing, May 9)--it is really cool! For those students with some experience in crochet. $50 + supplies
